HANDS-ON LEARNING

Workshops

Workshop 1: AI-Enhanced SLR with Scoping & Bibliometrics

  • Focus: Hands-on with Scopus, Scopus AI, Sci Space, VOSviewer, and Biblioshiny to automate literature discovery, mapping, and synthesis.

  • Outcome: A manuscript ready for journal submission.

  • Why: Systematic reviews are time-consuming; this workshop makes the process faster, more rigorous, and publication-ready.

Workshop 2: Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for Advanced Research Analysis

  • Focus: This workshop introduces participants to the theory and practice of SEM, a powerful statistical technique for testing complex relationships among observed and latent variables. Using relevant platforms, participants will learn step-by-step how to specify models, evaluate fit indices, and interpret outputs.

  • Outcome: Validated SEM model, with guidance on reporting SEM results for high-impact journals.

  • Why: SEM is increasingly recognized as a gold-standard analysis method in several fields. Participants gain hands-on analytical skills to strengthen the rigor and credibility of their empirical work.

Workshop 3: Build Your Own GPT - From Model Basics to Custom Applications

  • Focus: This hands-on workshop guides participants to create and deploy their own domain-specific GPT Model (AI Assistant) for education and research. Attendees will learn how to prepare datasets, design prompts, and integrate a custom GPT into applications like literature review, research assistants, tutors, etc.

  • Outcome: A functioning custom GPT prototype.

  • Why: LLMs are widely used, but few researchers & students understand how to customize and operationalize them. Participants will move from using LLMs as generic AI tools to specialized companions.
